Chief Technology Officer

Hunter is the Chief Technology Officer, who like all of the Dorroh kids started working at ABS under the leadership of his father pulling weeds and picking up cigarette butts. After graduation from the College of William and Mary in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, he began in the accounting department. It didn’t take long for him to realize a disdain for paperwork and swiftly transitioned to working with the technicians discovering a knack for computers and new technology; the basis for his current responsibilities leading ABS’ technology focus and direction.
As a leader Hunter learned a lot about self-reliance as a teen when he was dropped in the wilderness of Alaska with his siblings during the summer over the period of three years. It was there, far away from civilization, alone with the bears that he learned to remain calm, free of panic and to use his brain to figure his way out. Skills he applies as a trusted ABS leader.
Those trips brought a love of outdoor recreation that is still enjoyed to date. He enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing and boating and spending time with his wife and their two children. As a service to the community, Hunter sits on the Towne Bank Leadership Alliance that annually supports Surfers Healing which provides an opportunity for children with autism a chance to enjoy the thrill of riding a wave.
